Week at the Cabin

We had such a great week at our cabin.  The weather was gorgeous, the lake was beautiful and it was so peaceful.  It was really sad to think that this was the last week of summer in a back to school sense.  I know most of you already went back but our littles will be going back on Sept. 12.

Here is a little look at our trip.

My boys always love seeing the Mt Washington pass us by.  The Mt. Washington dates back to 1872 when it was originally launched in Alton Bay as a paddle steamer.

We spent a lot of the days fishing.  I actually got quite good at casting if I do say so myself.

We had to fish Ryan's rod out of the lake as well.  He just decided one time that he was done and over everything went.

We had such gorgeous weather and the boys were catching fish left and right.

Evan brought up his dirt bike and every night after pulling the boat in he was out riding around the mountain.  He loves riding his bike.

The next morning we got out on the boat early for a morning cruise with some coffee.  Evan was still a little sleepy and fell asleep on me for almost two hours.  This never happens so I soaked in every minute of it.

Evan later broke out his kite and was flying it all afternoon.  Kite flying on the boat is genius.

We did a little more flying and a lot more fishing.

Stopped in for some snacks and treats and then we were back out.

We left the lake before sunset to head back to the cabin for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary.

Some times it is hard to leave the lake.... we always have such a great time when we are here.

That night we celebrated 9 years of marriage... and look forward to so many more memories.

That pretty much sums up our week on the mountain.  Boat days are the best days.  I am really hoping for an indian summer.

See ya tomorrow.
