6 Ways To Include Coconut Oil In Your Daily Beauty Routine

I started using it not too long ago and I was so interested in its benefits. For those who don’t know, in addition to improving the immunity, coconut has antioxidant properties – it resets vitamins and mineral salts, decreases the bad cholesterol, helps in weight loss and is naturally an antibacterial and anti fungal agent. Moreover, the best thing is that it is super affordable and will last you months.

These are just a few of the tips I have seen-Now let’s get started with the tip on how to include coconut oil on your daily skincare, haircare and overall body.


Hair Mask
Coconut oil is perfect for moisturizing the hair strands in the following ways: the first option is to apply a generous quantity on the entire hair during the night (do not apply on the roots), make sure to leave the strands very oily, make a braid and go to sleep. In the morning, wash normally, you will notice that your hair will be super hydrated and with a wonderful shine. The second option is to mix a teaspoon of oil with a hair mask. It will give a strengthened effect to your weekly hydration. Finally, use a small quantity for your ends right after you are done using a hot tool on your hair, but it has to be just a tiny amount so that it doesn’t leave your strands looking oily.

Hydrate the Body
In addition to moisturizing your hair, coconut oil is also perfect to moisturize the body. Some people use it by itself and some mix it with an essence (Lavender is a great option) to give a light scent. It leaves the skin super soft, I generally I apply it at night before bedtime.

Makeup Remover
Yes! Coconut oil is also a make-up remover, can you believe it? The good thing is that it even revokes waterproof mascara. Just add a tiny bit on a cotton ball or Q-tip and it will remove everything!


Face Exfoliator 
Mix coconut oil with sugar and gently exfoliate your face! I suggest you do this before you shower and only once a week because oil leaves the skin oily and after exfoliation, you should always wash your face with your favorite cleanser.

Teeth Whitening 
I haven’t tried this yet but I have heard so many people saying that despite it being a time consuming process, it works. The recipe is super simple: when you wake up, still fasting and without brushing your teeth, swish 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes, repeat the same thing before bedtime.

Natural Pre Workout 
This is a valuable tip for those who don’t like to use supplements for an extra boost before the workout. Mix a teaspoon of coconut oil with a cup (200ml) of coffee, mix well and voilà, its ready! The coconut oil is a thermogenic by increasing the beta-oxidation and the enzymes of satiety, which inhibit the hunger and in that way help with weight loss.


Remember to always get the extra virgin unrefined coconut oil.
